my new aro got some open sore on the mouth and cut on the tail (due to the datnoid). he is 14". any suggestion on medication i need to use? that would work fast and safe. and does my beneficial bacteria get screwed up due to the meds?

Most sores and cuts heal without meds but salt (1 tbs/5 gal) can help speed it up as will melafix, neither effect your BB. For meds, youneed to take them on a case by case basis as many do kill the BB.
