So I just recently got my 5 Hystrix rays from a fellow MFK'R and all are doing very well. Eating like pigs, very active and all around healthy.

Prior to me getting them I was informed that they had been exposed to that crazy bacteria that was going around and had healed up from it quite nicely. The large male does have scars on him that do seem to be going away.

I noticed though he liked to keep his feet up alot so I figured he was uncomfortable in some way. I picked him up in a plastic container to find he has sores at the base of his feet where they meet the ground.
I don't think that this has to do with the bacteria because the rest of him is all healed up but I wanted to know what you guys thought as of this.

I added some salt to the water. I have the temp at 83 degrees. Params are great and I do water changes regularly. There is no substrate and he is recently on a new pond liner (he had the sores before the liner). He seems to be resting his feet on the new liner which I think is due to the fact that it is alot softer than what he was on when I got him.

Is this that bacteria again? Should I medicate or watch it longer?

What is everyones thought to this?

Thanks guys.

dont like post a picture or something so we can see this...

It may have reappeared after the stress of the move. I know gumby had recieved a ray that was fine but after moving from one tank to another it broke out again on it. Pics would be helpful. For now maybe keep it dark, add salt and then bump the temp up.

to be safe Tom I would buy some binox, stuff I showed you when you were here, works great and harmless when used to others. If you can't get it or ge it fast enough and you can get a ride I can give you enough to treat. I would say its related but not the same as the prior bacteria and he was also fine with me for 2 weeks and then when I moved him from one tank to another at my house he got the issue. Some binox and salt wih temp to 84-88 and I would say 2 weeks and perfect but my .02
