i realize that ive been treating my fish like crap i have learned to love him and put hours of effort and money so he has a nice easy enjoyable life

Well I'm certainly glad to hear it! You don't have to be sorry though, you put some research into it and learned. Theres no shame in realizing you've made a mistake and then fixing it! Everybody here was a beginner once, and we have all made mistakes.
Do yourself a favor though, and upgrade pretty big. It's much cheaper in the long run to get a bigger tank now then upgrade slowly over time.

i can probably get a 150 gallon from my friend and new filtration for it too next week.
thanks for changing my outlook on fish

Others may disagree, but I think a 150 (72x24" right?) will be good for a single largemouth. They rarely get longer than 24" in the wild, and that would be a LARGE female.

Yup, a 150 would be big enough. Once they get aroung 15" or so, growth slows considerably. They also can be very pet like, as you can train them to take food from your hand. Enjoy your bass, you'll be together for a long time!
