Even though I've been a member for a while, I realize I have never introduced myself properly on these forums.
My name is Ryan, aka japes which is just a personal nickname. I'm 21, and I'm a Web & Graphic Designer and Developer when I'm not studying my degree at University or tending to my fish tanks. I live in sunny Caloundra on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, in Eastern Australia.
I've only been in the hobby for about 8 months, keeping and maintaining tanks for only 6 of those, so I'm a relative newbie, but I heavily research all of my ventures into this addictive hobby thoroughly so don't let that alter your perceptions of me. I keep two tanks currently as I still reside at home with the oldies; a 48x24x28" 140G peaceful SA Cichlid Community which is my main tank, and tend to a 60x15x18" 75G SA Community with Angels, Keyholes, Rams, Tetra, Corydoras, etc. My 140G is basically my pride and joy. I'm quite active here so if you hunt around in the Photo Lounge or CA/SA Section I'm sure you'll find some photos, and the stock list is available in my signature.
You'll find me posting here primarily in the CA/SA Cichlid Forum, Filtration, DIY Section, and the Photo Lounge.
