sorubim lima

Hi everyone, I'm new to mfk so any help would be appreciated.
I currently keep 2 LIMA's aswell as other cats and cichlids, I'm thinking of setting up a seperate tank for the lima's, I would like suggestions on tankmates, and decor. Also does anyone know where I can find other sorubim species in the uk. thanks for any help.

Welcome to MFK. Limas will do well with anything that isn't too small (less than 1/3 their length), isn't big enough to eat them, and isn't overly aggressive. See my "My Tank Setup" in the info below my avatar to see what I keep with them. The only fish I have with my limas that I wouldn't recommend putting with them is my pacu, but mine seems to be very mild mannered towards smaller fish.

if its a big tank try root-like wood arrangements and/or very large artificial vallis with additional weight (try siliconing small pebbles to the plastic base).
if the tank is large enough try giraffe cat, megaladorus or any large synos or "plecs".
