Daughter brought home this cute thing from Walm! She wants to put it in with my violet goby dragon, since it's a brackish tank. I'm thinking it will kill my dragon sooner or later?, yes or no? Please help, Puffer is still in bag it was brought home in.

depends on the puffer, some I have heard are fin nippers and some are more peaceful. I say give it a shot just make sure there is somewhere for the goby to hide.

There plenty of places to hide. I'm alos worried the puffer might PUFF and die!? It's a green spotted puffer, and she said it was the only one in the stores tank that wasn't just sitting on the bottom. Maybe I should quarentine it first? And if so, what Meds can I use on a Puffer?

Going to take GSP back to store. Don't want to deal with this! Noticed it has Ick on it's tail too. This is way too much trouble for $4.83 + tx. Told my daughter to save up her money and get a nice big tank, set it up and cycle it, AND THEN get fish she has researched/read about. She just got a bearded dragon Friday from a friend. That's money and time consuming enough for her for now.

good decision. I highly recommend puffers but it is best to be prepared for them.

Walmart flushed all returns. :( Tell your daughter this & maybe she won't be buying you anymore surprises in the future.

Actually I called the store before taking ti back. They said to bring it back right away because they are treating the others for ick too. When we went there, they had put meds in the water supply-it gets filtred but same water goes thru all tanks, and the entire aquarium section was corded off.;) with cones and a few signs that read: NO PURCHASE OF AQUATIC LIFE AND/OR PLANTS FOR NEXT 72 HRS., SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. And I asked to talk to person who buys/picks fish. He said the store gets whatever the supplier ships to them. If I wanted something special they could order it. When I explained the problem, GSP is a brakish fish when juvenille and that a full salt tank is needed later and that freshwater tanks are not an option for them. Also that they needed to eat snails or comparable or their teeth get overgrown and they starve to death. He acted like he sort of knew that, but said they don't slways give all the info. on a fish on those little cards. I think he didn't really care, or just that his hands are tied as to what he can do or say? Anyway, I found a lady about 15 minute drive from me that sells aquatics out of her basement. It's more expensive, but it's very clean, all fish are healthy, and she seemed very nowledgable.:D NOT buying fish from Walm. anymore!. :D

If you're planning on a puffer, set up a special tonk for it alone. I'd keep a close eye on your other fish. They may well be infected.
