No words just speechless as usual. Scat is this any different then what your usually seeing? (just curious)

The gold coloring has definitely intensified. Sadly, the red is not as intense as it normally is. I suspect that while the tannins are affecting the mood and coloration of the fish directly, I suspect that it also has to do with the darkness/coloration of the water changing the wavelength of the lighting in the tank thereby highlighting and/or washing out specific colors.

I need something with blue in the tank, such as a piquiti, to see how the water color affects it. I have a sneaky suspicion that the blue fins would absolutely pop.

Good to hear that is what i was wondering as well. With an icrease in one area would there be an effect in another area. Somebody get this man a piquiti I would love to see your results in regard to this information here. Do you think a broader spectrum of lighting would substitute for some of the loss due to the tannins? And for that mater vice versa meaning darker lights being used during the tannins process to give an even more Black Water effect? Wanted to hear your thought's?
