2078:
The PRO 3e is the world's first microprocessor controlled aquarium filter, and it comes equipped with an assortment of advanced and innovative features. The Constant Flow feature monitors increased blockage and automatically compensates to maintain your settings. This guarantees constant through-flow and long intervals between cleaning. The electronic Output Control allows you to determine your preferred flow setting based on the requirements of your aquarium (from minimal output to maximum boost), and the Stream Function creates a wave-like effect by continuously alternating the flow rate to simulate living conditions of a variety of freshwater and saltwater fish. Other features include a 12-Hour Bio Function, which changes flow rates every 12 hours to simulate day/night cycles, and an Electronic Air Indicator that performs a variety of diagnostics on your filter and makes automatic corrections. All together, this high-tech, high performance filter will make a welcome asset to any freshwater or saltwater aquarium. (Suitable for aquariums up to 185 gallons and produces a 490 g/h output).

2080:
The Eheim Pro 3 is a unique large volume filter good for aquariums up to 320 gallons in size. This external canister filter combines a high pump output of 450 GPH with a large canister and filter volume. Reliable with Eheims trademark quiet running and smoothness. Comes with an large prefilter which is easily accessable under the the pumphead. The large prefilter will lengthen the time needed between cleaning. Features include: 2 + 1 safety hose adaptor-2 inlet and 1 outlet side connectors provide optimum water circulation in your aquarium; maintenance flow indicator measures the water flow throughout filter; flow lever adjusts water flow through filter; red safety catch prevents accidental release during handling; large volume top prefilter. What are your water parameters like now?
Get a 2260 they are cheaper and have more media capacity, more flow and less maintenance.

spare parts are key man. check www.eheimparts.com and see what they offer for replacement parts. the pro 3 and pro 3e are nice filter and sure look pretty, but parts for the motor and such i have not seen on the website. the motor head could fail after the warranty expires, then what you know? last time i saw a replacement motor for sale was at a website for 180 smackers for the eheim pro 2!

thats why i have 2 eheim 2250s. all parts can be bought online from eheim so the filter can be kept running for like years and years.
