Can the sound effect the stress of fish as in dumping a full bucket of water into a fish tank

I believe it does cause stress but not to a serious degree. When ever I've added water to a tank after a water change my fish avoid the area where I'm putting the water in(usually) but I have noticed in serious issues. Are we talking just dumping water in or pouring it in?

I like to point the hose onto a flat peice of rock to disperse the water...........I enjoy bare tanks because of the contempo look and cleaniness it holds.............

I try to be respectful of my fishes hesitancies during water changes ect.. some fish are more spooky then others... but I def think putting your tank next to a sound system or loud TV can have deffinate detrimental effects. I found my fish not bothered by regular water changes ect now that I've had them awhile and took that lil' extra care to desensitize them to it.. and of course being regular they are expecting it ect..

The fish are more affected by the flow than the noise. I've had my 12" 300w sub next to my tank for years and behavior doesn't change with volume.

The water in my tanks is so turbulent that I don't think that the fish would even know if I dumped water into it. IMO, it's likely all about what the fish are used to.
