I was at a friend's house and she has a koi pond that constantly plays (pardon my ignorance on this) but what I take to be Japanese classical style music. When she showed it to me I found it to be funny so I put Slayer on her small P.A. just for kicks. It was more enjoyable for me while we fed them. Anyone else know anyone that plays tunes for their fish¿

Yeah, actually all my fish don't watch where they're going because that all have tiny little water-proof ipods in their hands.

I kid, I kid. But honestly does sound influence a fish in any way? I've moved my 55 just b/c my fish would move around and get aggressive while expecting food every time I played out of my practice amp at middle range. It honestly seemed to piss them off therefore the move. I know I can't be the only musician who has an aquarium.

It's not that they hear, per say. But fish are extremely sensitive to picking up vibrations, which your amp specializes in projecting... and can cast them at the same intensity over long distances.

yep..

But no don't play music for my fish... That music your friend plays is probably them knowing it's more for their enjoyment than the fish.. probably sounds nice and relaxing..

fish can feel music and i have heard that goldfish can recognized an owners voice after a while so im sure if you only played a song when you fed the fish would learn to associate it with food.
