Amazing pictures! Nice to see vast expanses without buildings! Where I live in northern New Jersey, is far less beautiful.
I am lucky in that aspect. South Africa has many issues, but the nature is still somewhat intact!

Very cool not sure I could handle the heat but would be nice to fish some of the bigger rivers and see where some of our favorite fish come from!
Like? SA doesn't have many aquarium fish. Some H vitattus in the far East maybe

Went to the West coast today to see the legendary flower blooms again, it did not disappoint! Thank goodness for iNaturalist that gives me names for these things!

Purple Corn-Lily, Lapeirousia jacquinii, which I found to be one of my favourites

A starfish lily, Ferreria sp, also incredibly cool.

Some fairy shrimp that lived in little pools on a hill, they have short lives in these temporary ponds.

A Cape Girdled lizard, Cordylus niger, these only live around Table Mountain and here in Langebaan over 100km away

No wonder people flock for flower season.

Today was nuts, a 22km hike up, over and down Table Mountain. An incredible experience to be sure!
