I just got some of these guys today!
I actually cleared out my 110 to make it a Leaf Fish tank.
Any advice on these guys I would really appreciate!
I will post some pics once they settle in!
I put them in a big bag with 40 guppies at my LFS. When I got home there were no guppies left.

They're pretty easy to keep as long as you have a constant supply of live foods.

I had a few a couple years ago and the amount they eat was insane.
I tried everything to get them off live foods nothing worked.
I eventually traded them in to the LFS I bought them from. I couldn't keep up with the live foods they needed

They eat non stop, and take live food only. They do best in a well planted setup. I'd start up a guppy breeding tank if you can. I used to feed mine guppies and cichlids.
They do get territorial and it's pretty funny; they flex they're mouths and wave them side to side.
Good luck, and post some pics when you get a chance.

I had a couple of mine (not all) taking meal worms occasionally. They really should be on a fish heavy diet though.

Thanks guys so much! I will be hoping that they take the occasional earthworm. I never seen a fish eat as much! I absolutely love these guys. The ultimate little predator.

When I thought my red wolf fish was also un-trainable to dead food I bred MAD live bearers in my 30 and 10. Had some Molly's and platys in the 30 and guppys in the ten. I think that's your best bet.

Try feeding them dead feeders, I would kill them (sad but better then being eaten alive) to start to get my wolf on dead foods. If they will take this, then I'd go for freezing a BUNCH of rosy reds so they are sanitized and feed like that. It'll be much much easier on ya then breeding or going out and buying em all the time

Actually I will be taking out my fishing rod this weekend after they fatten up. Gonna troll thawed out Silver Sides and hope they strike. Looks like they are gluten fish and I think this could work. Got my Armatus on sardines this way.

I am so excited I just purchased a giant Leaf Fish 3.5" inches long! What an absolute beast.

I will be getting the guy shipped to me next week!

Does anybody know if the big Leaf Fish will actually eat smaller ones?

I was thinking I might be able to keep a school of these Leaf Fish in my big tank with my Payara. I really don't think he would notice them in the leaves. :D
