how much do south american leaf fish usually go for. my lfs has one for $49.99

i got mine for $10 at 1'' cute little guy growing real slow if at all mabye hes stunted all the others were small to

Under $15 for something 1.5" at my local petsmart. I'd say $50 is high unless it's larger

its about 3 inches. if i did get one whats the minimum size of the tank

Slightly high,but not terrible. I never had any luck keeping those fish alive

Before you dive into getting one of these though, there are a few things you will want to know. They require soft, acidic water somewhere around the 6-6.5 ph range, and they will almost NEVER accept anything besides live feeder fish.

EDIT: also need very pristine water quality

the one at my lfs was about 3-4 inches was about 30 dollars if I remember right
