South american lungfish mouth!

Can anyone tell me whats up here with his mouth? Just picked up this bad boy for the wife. Didnt notice this before we bought him.

I don't know too much about any of the lungfish but judging from the photos my guess is that the mouth is a little deformed and the teeth are visible.It does not look like any kind of infection that I've seen before.

So not like a mouth fungus then? Thats what we are worried about.

It doesn't look cottony like most fungus infections but I could be wrong...

How big is this lung? Maybe you can catch him in a net and gently touch the area with something in order to make sure that that's it's teeth.

25 inches or bigger. Gonna try "brushing" his teeth tomorrow and gonna shoot some tetracycline into the system as a precaution along with salt

Thats some of the sketchiest advice ive ever read lol. Krich have you ever felt a toothy fishes teeth? I know I havent and have no intentions to

What's sketchy about it?..I didn't say for him to shove his pinky into the fish's mouth.All he would have to do is lightly probe the area with a dull object.If I wanted to know what the stuff was I wouldn't have a problem doing it to be sure that my fish is healthy.
