South American Lungfish price?

What would be the average price for an 18" lung fish? Anyone keep them, are the cool? I'm getting one in a trade, just trying to get a general price. Thanks in advance!

It's a West African Lungfish.
 
Doesnt look like a SAL? i'd agree in the $75-$100 range. I've picked them up for around $40 but doesnt happen often. Any lung is amazing to have i own 3 :) looks more like an african to me though. somebody will correct me im sure, but SAL have a different head and there more slender then this guy pictured above.
 
That's not a SAL rather it looks like a WAL. The easiest way to tell a SAL from any other species of lungfish besides a SpAL is to compare the length of the body to the length of the tail; a SAL will have an extremely elongate body in comparison to all other species besides a SpAL.

As for the price, it all depends on the seller; the price for lungfishes seems to fluctuate quite a bit.

WALs are not mellow by any means and shouldn't be kept with tankmates, and it's a question of "when" rather than "if" the WAL will eat a tankmate.

SALs typically are mellow and can usually be kept with tankmates, but they've been known to go on killing sprees from time to time as well although this is a rare occurrence.

Depends on how bad you want it. I would probably pay 75. I got mine for 50 when it was about 9".
