How long will it take a 3 inch SAL to reach 10-12 inches?

Less than 1 year, maybe in about 9 months for yours. My SAL started out at ~3.5" July 2017 and about as thick as a pinky. He's now around 14-15", maybe longer and thick, body height roughly 1".

The inner diameter of that PVC is ~ 3.25"

Was just about to start a thread asking the same thing lol good to know. Rocksor any foods or things that seem to encourage growth? I know my polys growth skyrocketed when I started them on tilapia and bumped the temp to 82

My old ones took about 4 months to grow from 5" to 13"-14".

He eats anything, but because his mouth is small, I take that into consideration on the size of the food. So I feed 1mm NLS algaemax, frozen plankton, and gel based food cut to no larger than 2mm. I still feed him 3x a day since he seems to be looking for food every 6 hours or so.
