South american pbass

They still are.

However, they've been introduced to places like Florida, Hawaii, and Singapore. They are also being farmed for food in SouthEast Asia.

I bet some of the stock from intoduced or farmed situations are finding their way to some aquarium tanks.;)
 
Lots of people on here have peacock bass...you did post in the peacock bass section... :) Alot of them are wild caught straight from south american countries like brazil, peru, and venezuela, although many are also now farm raised especially the temensis variety for food purposes and also to help maintain the native populations in their respective countries. Here's a couple pics of some south american peacock bass, not the larger temensis specie you see all the fishing shows going after but still true south american pbass ~Trent

Don't know how that would happen.. lol But yeah I bet most of what you find at lfs are farm bred.

I just mean't all pbass whether farmed or wild introduced populations originated from SA..
