Is it true that you can keep a south American puffer in a community tank I read this somewhere just wondering if this is true

I kept one with my discus. It was a heavily planted, 90g tank. All puffers are potential fin-nippers & the SAP needs regular (4-6month) teeth trimming.
Not that I noticed. Kept to itself, poking around in the plants most of the time. Even had delicate glass cats in there.LeafFish02;1926954; said:
I keep my SAP in a community tank. At first he fin nipped a little- mostly the gouramis (they are stupid- won't leave him alone). Now he doesn't bother any of the other fish. Like most animals, individual temperaments vary. Just in case, have a back up plan if you get a mean one.
