i am thinking of doing a biotope, and since i have a american green tree frog in small temp viv, so florida/carolina seems a obvius choice.
i hope to create a cypress forest/blackwater habitat.
heres a list so far:
herps:
5 green tree frogs
3 green anoles
3 gray tree frogs

plants:
various fern sp.
dwarf hair grass
possibly north american pichers

fish:
will be updated

as you can see the list is not very devloped
and will be updated.
i am still unshure of viv size to get

Alright... just going to give you a few tips...

The bigger, the better really. Even with a second one I am planning, I am going to flip the 90g vertically so there is a lot of room for the pair of arboreals, and for the two semi-terrestrial to co-exists.

Amphibians can be difficult to mix, and usually if they are mixed, one is completely aquatic and other is completely terrestrial. Arboreals are a different matter... arboreals usually come down to the ground fairly frequent, so I would consider them as terrestrial for design purpose. You can't just slap them together willy-nilly.

You have to account for their size, habitat and so on. For my purpose, I chose a stream side habitat in the cool river valley forest. Also, the more animals you have in there, the more room for conflict. Now with Crocodile Skinks, they are pretty skittish and usually found under debris, so they won't cause any conflict with the other two or three inhabitants in the enclosure.

12 is a lot for a single enclosure... and some of those guys need more room than the ones I picked.

Could do madtom, or florida flagfish. Something that might help with space is subbing a more terrestrial lizard for the anoles, maybe a small skink or 2.
