Oh yeah, we also caught a crapload of black acara, myans, jags, and some other species of tilap...shhh the "other" species of tilap is illegal. But we did manage to bring home about a dozen jags mostly 3-4in., some of the black acara, a few myans 1-2in., and some "others" Didn't get to bring the big jag home though, ironically....he managed to jump ship and make it back into the water  It would have been a fortune to feed him though I'm sure....doubt we would've been able to get him to eat pellet. Gonna see which ones color out the best and then get the rest to the lfs. Gotta love bottled oxygen :naughty:

Dang that certainly is one thick jag. What did you catch him off of ?

I love fishing with small jigs in those canals. Pretty much all the fish will bite them.

what kind of gar in the picture???

Tim

I don't know if it was the weather or what but the only thing we got on a line was one of the gars....I think alligator gars...not sure. Anyways, I'm really glad I can throw the hell out of a 10' cast net cuz that where everything came from. I'll get some pics of what we put in our tanks....no comments of overstocking, we know!!! we're just weeding them out and taking them to the lfs. We got a bit caught up in the honey hole and didn't get many pics till the big guy

congrats dude. when i come down that way you gonna have to hook up with me

You realize that uros are a dime a dozen in the canals right?

Although they do look better than store bought uros.
