Hi, I live in central florida and was planning on taking a trip to south florida to collect cichlids, cichla, and possibly snakeheads.... Anyone know some good spots in south florida where these fish are? Specific spots please.
Thanks, Jude:D

A year and a half ago I collected about 70 Mayan cichlids from the everglades across two days. I also got a few black acaras. Mostly the area was covered with spotted tilapia though (illegal). I was down at Flamingo, the southernmost part. Closer to Miami-Dade there are probably even more varieties!

Another cool invasive I saw was Belonesox: the pike livebearer. I was under the impression that these were illegal too, but now I think I was wrong. I wish I kept some, they have some mean teeth for their size! Definitely not a community fish though.
