heaven is my home
hey guys, i was wondering what this pbass will look like when it matures? they are cheap so im thinkin occel or mono but i was wondering if anybody has seen an adult or has had one in their tank? thanks

Every Guyana I have seen are Pure Ocellaris, I have 2.

ok thanks, do they look better than farm raised and hybrids monos/occels?

if it's really wild and pure (which is difficult to know), then they will always look better than a farmed/hybrid fish

yeah thats the only thing im worried about( if they are really wild). they are cheap might get a few and see how they turn out. thanks for the pics, really appreciate it.

honestly though, "wildcaught" is just a label that makes fish more expensive. if its a true ocellaris, whether it be captive bred or wild caught, it really dont matter. if its a TRUE species, coloration and pattern will be pretty much the same between the two. the issue comes when they have been farmed and cross bred for so long that they dont even look like a true species anymore.

i didnt even think about that. i love the way pure occels look, but my first pbass was supposed to be pure occel and it turned out to be a hybrid. im just goin to cough up the extra dough and get some orinos from snookyn.:D

a wild ocell will look TOTALLY different from any farm hybrid.
sp. guyana i believe will be wild ocell, that is if they were really from guyana.
