I have a female now who's about 6" showing beautiful colors and after debating for awhile we've decided to keep her. The issue is she's extreamly aggro and will kill or severaly main any type of tank-mate I've tried in the past. and locally I've only been able to find belly crawlers, venny's, and the odd xingu's insanely overpriced imho and w/ severe HLLE.
1. IF i can locate a male would she be likely to accept him. I intend to upgrade them to a 75 and wouldn't make the move until i had the male so they would be on an even field? should I consider other fish as dither type? ie other cichlids maybe to help disperse her aggression? or would it be best just to add her with a male? or multiple males? i'm use to just tossing cichlids together and having no issues breeding, but these guys seem more challengeing.
2. Any suggestions for distributors ect online that might have males or be able to at least know what one looks like?or even better would be breeders?
