Spagetti eel? true eel? pink flat tailed eel?

I have got a new eel it is around 7 inches long and looks like a long thin pink earth worm with little beedy eyes and a flat tail.
Any body got any ideas the label in the shop said pink flat tailed eel max size 40cm it did have a Latin name but I do not know what that was as this was picked up for me by a member of my fish club who knows I collect eels .

I have looked through the first 30 pages of eel pictures and only seen one on about page 28 that looked a bit like it the author said it was a true eel .

Anybody got any ideas ?
