I have a 48"L x 12"w x 18"h

tank with just 2 poly Plasma in it.

was undecided which lake to go for? hmmmmm

the polys can be moved.

just love to know what you all think?

could i put Tropheus in that tank. and if so how many?

Not for long term. I am growing out a group in that size tank, but they will get too big for a colony in that size.

That's a good size tank to do shellies on the bottom and cyps on the top.

Mike if i was going to use the 4ft to grow out tropheus colney how long could they stay in there for?

and how many?

I have 20ish in mine right now without issue. They have not hit breeding size, I will move them before that. I would say as fry until 2-3 inches, once they start showing breeding behavior move them.
