Do you think that it'll work? zi put this in breeding because I hope to have the shrimp breed and would like to raise the shrimplets. I'm only concerned that the gourami would eat the shrimplets. The tank would be either 3 gallons or 6 gallons if i get the sparkler (and please don't tell me that that's too small).

Thanks in advance!

It's possible that it could work but very unlikely. The gourami regardless of how small it is is still technically a micro predator that feeds off of smaller organisms in it's environment. Adding one to a shrimp tank would most likely result in you only having the adult shrimp and no babies.

Usually the only fish I every see being kept with small shrimp are ansistrus plecos but even then you still wouldn't produce very much for baby shrimp. They are honestly best off in their own tank if you want the most amount of babies from em.
