Spawn set-up help!

ok i just noticed today that my female albino greshaki mbuna mouth as become very enlarged and is hiding out while the male is very protective against everyone else in the tank so im assuming she is carrying eggs.

so i would like to know what i need to save the fry. i got a 10g tank thats the biggest spare one. but thats about it. so do i need a filter of some type and how soon should i net her out and single her away from the rest of the fish in my community tank. if i should even do that? this will be my first spawn ever so i am very excited just didnt think it would come this soon. so any help will be greatly appreciated.

i think normally in breeding like that you seperate every other fish except the mother. but im not sure. haha but then i dont see a problem moving her to the small tank as long as its been cycled and the same temp as the other one.
