Tbh don't have any experience with Severum but will tag a member who does have experience. My assumption has been that the green severum is male. Does that look right to you?

It’s definitely pre-spawning behavior. What’s odd is that the super reds looks male, and the green is definitely male.
Super reds are heavily line-bred/inbred to get that color and as a result both males and females have patterning so it’s difficult to accurately sex them by markings. You’ll have to wait and see if it lays eggs.
Thanks, that's why I was surprised. The red has always been smaller, but over the last couple months, it was developing in a way that made me think male. I thought I was lucky to get get two males that like hanging out together. I've heard of two females doing spawning rituals together, but not two males. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
