Spawning???

I know this may be a stupid question but I am totally new at this breeding thing...Is there a time limit on how long my male will keep trying to spawn? It has been going on for 2 days... how long can it take before the female will finally give in? Should it be taking this long for her? Does this mean she doesn't like him...even though I think he is beautiful.

Oh, if it matters it is my Sunshine Peacock.

The males always want to breed, she may not be big enough, or ready yet. Once she starts holding he may still bug her.

Well. she' probably 3 " and to my knowledge I bought them as a breeding pair. So I just didn't know do females play hard to get for a while and is it normal? I have had this pair for a touch over a month and this is the first time the male has wanted to spawn...Is that normal? Sorry for all the stupid questions, I am just learning.

Water changes at least once a week but usually twice. Water Params...

Nitirte 0
Nitrates 10-20 20 closer to a water change
Ph 8.2

The male has gotten the female back there a couple times and they go in circles but the female doesn't seem to be dropping eggs. Can it take a while on the females part? Any tips to help this happen?
