Speaking of Black Pacu.....

What happened to all the little black Pacu? I used to see them everywhere , now none. If I had to bet I'd say.... Not as colorful as red belly Pacu, not as good to eat, and alot harder to spawn in captivity than red Pacu. Captivity being ponds, most of the time. I've had a couple in the past. I like the body shape alot better. Some Vendor(maybe Jeff Rapps) had some yellow belly Pacu that were shaped the same as blacks , but didn't get as big. Like 20" max supposedly. They looked really cool. If they only stayed small. 20 inches is still BIG. Any ideas on where they went?

My guess cause they are cheap in price, take long time and hard to sell, it's grow too fast and its not pretty compare to other fishes. If you can't sell it in short time then you would have fish that capable double its size in few months and taking up too much spaces, in business profit stand point its counter productive fish to sell If I'm a fish seller I don't even bother stocking that type of fish in my store.
