Aulonocara sp. Stuartgranti Maleri (sunshine) is what it looks more like to me -I have one that looks the same as yours. Then again Sunshines vary alot. I would go with this simply because I have one and I order it from south FL as this fish. So I would assume thats what it is. Some seem to be dull in color and others extremely bright. Then again I ve seen others that look like this also. Ontop of that I think I am color blind, So dont take my word for it.

Aulonocara jacobfriebergi (Lemon Jake) or Aulonocara Baenschi. It looks more like a lemon jake to me only b/c it looks like a juvie lemon jake I used to have. It also looks very similar to a cross breed I have bewteen a maleri and jacob. I said baenschi as a second guess becuase the colors of both species look very similar when they are young (or at least to me they do). so its a possibility.

Do you think they will color up as they get older? never had peacocks before.

I personally would say it is an Aulonocara sp. "Stuartgranti Maleri" and not the lemon jake. (I don't think it is an baenschi since I think the head isn't quite right, though it is very hard to tell.)

For pictures on what it could look like check here: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/category.php?cat=3

(There are many areas it could be from so as you can see the colors range greatly.)

Now I can say that yes it will get more color, yellow, and likely blue will start to show on its face some. Of course this assumes it is one of the only dom. Aulonocara in the tank. But still the more yellow when they are young the better looking they will be looking when they are older. (I would say your fish shows some very good promise though).
