Is there a list somewhere of what species seem prone (or more susceptible than usual) to specific diseases? I checked and I can't seem to find anything like that. Would be a nice piece of info to reference, species ABC gets disease xyz fairly often, much like HITH with oscars. Would really be a good piece of info for people picking up new species, giving them heads up on something they might see and to be on the lookout for it.

Ex Cichlasoma Beani subject to bloat. Just lost 2 of them in the past 24 hrs..... Also Nandopsis Hatiensis..

Is there a list on that link that answers the OP's question?...If so, can you link to the thread please? I have searched for the same thing for about 2 years now and am unable to find one.

I have started compiling the basics to create one, but if someone that knows more than me already has one, Id like a copy of it.

Thanks!

I didn't post in the Disease forum because I was interested in info specifically to CA/SA species. And since there is no list, I would assume I would get more replies in the CA/SA forum, much the same way as those with sick CA's post here. They aren't looking for info about a disease, they are looking for info about a disease as it relates to their specific CA/SA cichlids.

My asian fishes (gouramis, loaches, tiger barbs) have been very susceptible to Velvet, in addition to the usual Loach ick magnets.

when it comes to cichlids I've noticed that a lot of geo's specifically Satanoperca and also Geo. steindachneri seem to come loaded with camallanus
