I am sure most of you are aware of Wikipedia (for those who are not it is a free encyclopedia where anyone is free to submit information or edit any information - at this point it has almost 1,000,000 articles and keeps growing. It is all free at wikipedia.org!), while looking around today I noticed some of the "side" or "under" projects of Wikipedia. One in particular caught my eye, called Wikispecies (species.wikipedia.org)
The idea is to try and record as many animals, plants, insects, reptiles, fish, etc. as possible! Considering the fact that mammals only make up a very small percent of all living things on this planet while insects and other smaller life is dominating I think this is an awesome idea. There are so many fish species that are simply unrecorded this project should help many scientists and hobbyists get together. We have many great members with a great deal of professional fish knowledge, and I think it would be great if some of you guys would contribute with what you know.
