I'm about to pulled the trigger on some bags of spectraquartz for my tank which color is better for my polys RED, BLACK, or MIXED?

I have the red, and there is some suspicion that the red color is driving my Silver Aro insane...... Not sure what effect, if any, color has on poly's. My sen. bichir seems to like his natural color pool sand; however, there is a solid chance he's blind as a bat.

Personally, I think the red/black mix would look cool.

I thinking about the mixed myself. Im even thinking about mixing my current pool filter sand up in there too. :naughty:

I personally perfer black sand. But i use pool filter sand and my delhezi has great color on him. Mixing maybe a good choice but overall i says use black sand.

I have white and black mix in my 150g

I would go mix, and I think TGM said in another thread that many uses 80% red and 20% black to get the best colors on their pollys over in Japan.

Mix, you can't go wrong,,,, when buying the spectra quartz get the F grade the standard or small type is just to small,,, is this going in already setup tank?
If so make sure to turn off all pumps if you go with the small type.as it will float bc of static
