Last night with severe neck, chest and back pain. We had the day off of class yesterday so me and a friend of mine with snowboarding like we do every week, we have season passes. And I was hitting the bottom right booter (45ft) and overshot it by about 15 feet, and landed 3/4 of the way down the landing. I fell from about 17 feet up and cratered in the landing. It was weird because I had been hitting it all day practicing front side 3's and was sticking them perfect, and the last hit before we left I was just going to straight air it, and didn't speed check after the second roller. The snow had gotten a lot faster by this time, we took about an hour break from the park, and went back up for one more line before we left, and I just hit it WAY too fast. I knew I was doomed from the moment i took off the lip. Cleared the table, over the knuckle, and kept going lol. By the time I hit the ground my body was completely stretched out, and I just couldn't absorb the impact and crumpled, caught my heel edge, and flipped head over heal about 4 times and slid to a stop. I got up and rode away, but collapsed about 50 feet later. Then comes ski patrol and all that fun stuff, and next thing you know I'm in a neck brace at Cinci Childrens where my friends mom is a nurse, and she got me in right away, and then I spent the night there. I ended up getting a moderate concussion, lots of bruising and a BA headache. Moral of the story, always do a speed check or two if you come back to somewhere, and the snow has gotten faster. Cratering sucks.
