Spiders and a centipede

Went looking for spiders today, and found quite a number, including three or four tarantulas, but all except one escaped - Old Worlds are too quick!

First up, a poor photo of a Nephila:

It's not all that surprising lol. There is a thriving established population of introduced Brachypelma vagans in Florida, as well as a number of native Aphonopelma species in Arizona and Texas.
 
Very nice, I really like the last picture. It's a very interesting position/posture
