Spiders and a centipede

Went looking for spiders today, and found quite a number, including three or four tarantulas, but all except one escaped - Old Worlds are too quick!

First up, a poor photo of a Nephila:

The tarantula I caught; quite clearly about to moult:

And of course my Yellow Leg, eating a mealworm pupae:

It's not all that surprising lol. There is a thriving established population of introduced Brachypelma vagans in Florida, as well as a number of native Aphonopelma species in Arizona and Texas.

Everything can live in florida it seems. I thought that I heard that there were avics there too. Great pics.
