I have been finding these in my house and was wondering what they are and if they are dangerous. I live in south eastern Wisconsin. I know the pic ain't that great but its the best I could do. It has a light brownish stripe on its back and light brown stripes on its legs. It's fangs look huge compared to its size. Its about a half inch in length.

I dont know the name but I know that spider family, they specialize in hunting woodlice and that is the reason why they have huge fangs, to pierce tru the armor, they are "saber tooth spiders" so to speak. I wouldnt say they are dangerous, just avoid getting bit.

The main reason I was concerned was because the last two I caught could have easily bit me. One was in my sink under a few dishes, and the other was crawling on my arm when I was cruising this forum.

The newspaper thing works good for the ones I see. Even though I usually do catch and release outside with spiders. I'm more concerned with the ones I don't see. I'm sure it's harmless but I'm just wanting to make sure.

its not a recluse and it is not a widow. I dont think there is anything else that is terrible in Wisconsin but it could be a wolf spider. do some research on them and tell us what you think.

or you could let one bite you and tell us what happens... that is a sure fire way to figure out if it is dangerous or not.
