My LFS labeled these guys as spiney eels, maybe someone here can help me identify it? Sorry if the pictures arnt very clear. From my research i believe they are half banded spiney eels however i am not sure since it has no bands at all, the top of the eel is a whiteish colour while the bottom and mid portions are a tanned colour with little tiny dots all over. It is 3 inches long right now.

Mastacembelus circumcinctus Often called zig zag eel but this common name is shared with other species and makes it confusing, I've also seen it call Half Banded eel.

It's one of the smaller species , apparently max size is 6-8"

yep, also one of the few spineys that like to be in groups of the same species.
