Most mastecembalus and macrognathus eels will get close to 18inch in most home aquariums. With exception of a half banded spiny eel as this is most commonly seen. There are a few others but rarely seen.

I have a starry night eel (Mastacembelus frenatus possibly) in my 33 as a grow out. How long until it gets some size and can be added to the 150? It’s about 6in and is as thin as the stiphodon gobies I have with it right now (eel is temporary)
