hi all
i've had some tyre tracks for about 3 yrs now i got 3 of them , one is about 15' the other 2 an inch or two smaller. They seem to quite enjoy each others company and get along ok , there in a bigish tank 6'.16 deep and 19 wide
its got loads of bog wood etc and a network of eel tunnels in the sand substrate , the plant roots hold it all together. well this morning i fed the oscars(tank mates) and as usual they chewed everything up and it fell through the gills as usual , anyway in a moment of boredom i was looking to see what the eat to waste ratio was and as i squatted down i saw the area below a piece of bogwood in a void below the substrate, were big eel lives was absolutly swarming with what appears to be about 1000 baby eels ? they are clear to very pale white colour and about 1/2' long , to small for a pic yet but i will try , are these eels ? or do i have some sort of infestation of worms ? strange eh , ive never noticed them before and was under the impression these things dont breed in tanks any one help me ?

they could be but it could just be an infestation. best thing totell is do theyhave recognisable eyes and maybe yolk sac. any bad worms wont have visible eyes.

this is caused by overfeeding....waterchanges will help get rid of them.

They are worms...as far as i know the will not hurt anything just look anoying.
