So I'm casually kicking around the idea of setting up a small multi-tank setup, for some of the small ornamental shrimp...
Thought was two 10g tanks, with a glass or acrylic divider in each to make 4 tanks total... filtration and heating has me stumped though...
Filtration could be as simple as a sponge filter in each, and a single air pump with 4 outlet valve... or could I do a canister with intake and return from each? Not sure how easy/neat that would be, and how would I keep the flow consistent from tank to tank?
As for heating, unless I do the canister idea with an inline, I'll need two heaters minimum, maybe 4, as I can't figure out how to do a nice looking divider that will flow, and not let baby shrimp cross... or will a glass divider let enough heat transfer that one heater can handle both sides?

Ideas?

I thought about that, but trying to keep my setup as "clean" as I can, so was really trying to do glass or acrylic for a divider... still just in the planning/idea/dreaming state of the build, waiting on another 'dollar per gallon' sale to roll around...
Foam might still work... what about using perforated (drilled) acrylic or glass to sandwich the foam and keep things a little tidier? Would the foam work just as well if it's compressed?
