So I've got a 6 or 7inch gibby, a 7 or 8inch blue phantom and little 4inch green phantom. The green and the gibby both have some "bite marks taken out of their dorsals and I'm SUPER PISSED! The gibby especially! The BP has a a few little nips on his but nothing compared to the gibby.

The BP is the only one of the three that ever shows aggression toward any of the other fish in the tank, which include: BGK about 8in, striped peacock eel about 7in, 2 Raphael cats 3-5in and medium sized blue gourami. I really think its the gourami thats doing it to the plecos not the BGK because the gourami is much newer to the tank and the split fins have only been happening recently. So I was just making sure, plecos couldn't do this to another pleco right? and are there any products or anything I can do to help their fins heal faster?

Thanks in advance guys.

plecos has incredible regeneration powers, just give it a few days. no worries.

1. When do these split fins happen, day or night (Gouramis and most Cichlids are daytime predators or fighters)? 2. Yes Plecos can become aggressive (a couple of people on this forum have lost catfish, or goldfish to common plecos and I had a friend lose several Koi in a pond)....especially if theres not enough food or hiding spaces. 3. Most Blood Parrots cannot close their mouths so are there any chunks taken out of the fins or just shredding?

Plecos do it all the time. They are territorial fish. They can give each other nice bite marks and tare fins. They even kill each other and other fish if given the opportunity.

I just had to remove my smaller 137 from my community tank because it was beating up my FRT and two of my geo's.

Im officially convinced that 137's are devil fish both of mine are very aggressive.
