splitting output of sump return

I'm planning to split the pipe of my return pump, meaning from the powerhead returning to by tank, there will be a T , which will split into 2, since my tank has a divider. was planning to split the output so each side has surfave agitation . but would this have great effe ct on effeiciency/strngth of my pump? or will this be ok?

Yes, it will slow down the flow a little. More piping more friction loss inside the pipe. To minimize this go with a Y fitting and keep the same pipe size. Over all you may not even notice a difference.
