Sponge filter ready?

How long should i leave my sponge filters in my cycled tank before i can move them. It's been one week for the one i want to move to a new setup.

Hmm i kind of found my answer around the net... But what would be a good test? I habe two sponges that been inside my old main tank for two months. Should i just move those to the new tank.

I Wouldn't feel comfortable with less than a month of seeding if you want to use them to "instant cycle" a tank

But i do have two that i pulled out of my 240 that have been seeding for 3 month or more.
