Hagen BioFoan Sponge Filter dual or single? dual needs stronger air pump.

Hagen Elite Sponge Filter? flat/rectangular not cylindrical, sticks to glass, has carbon insert - but my HOB should suffice. so maybe not.

ATI/Luster Hydro Sponge Filter?

ATI/Luster Pro Sponge Filter? requires or good with power head? wasn't thinking of buying a power head - so maybe not?

thks all!

Can I ask what you want the sponge filtration for? It makes a difference in what sponge type to go with is why I am asking. :)

Some really great foam that doesn't tend to clog and has more life than the others

For fry I would go with the ATI and clean them a lot. I really like the poret--but some of the holes are larger, although you can get the smaller holed foam. I personally have never used the poret with the smaller holes so I can't speak to how it does. I would imagine that it performs just as well as the larger holed-foams though. You could get the long thin foam tower (from poret) that would fit better in a 72g tank and you could hide it in the back.
