Sponge filter

Hey guys I have a 10 gallon tank and am thinking of breeding some guppies in if for my pbass and snook, would a good sized sponge filter work?

Yep, I've used them for guppies and convict breading. They just kinda suck for mechanical, but that's what water siphons are for.
