I was thinking of using 30ppi Blue Poret Foam for my top layer before the water inters the pump. is it better to use a 1inch thick or the 2 inch thickness both will have to be trim down to 12in round .

Will I went ahead an place my order for the 13x13x2 sheet of Blue 30ppi Potret Foam and got an email from Dr Stephan Tanner with in min's to confirm my order.
I should have room with my 5L of Ehfimech an 2in coarse Tetra sponge filter and 8L of EhfiSubstrait Pro {I have 2L of EhfiSubstrait Pro left over in 1L bags} May be next week I will put it all together and have it up an running.

Will I got my 30ppi Poret Foam an trim it to fit the filter, Only thing is I had to remove about 1 1/2L of EhfiSubstrait Pro to fit the 2 inch sponge with the small screen on top.
So now I have 5L EhfiMech, 2in coarse sponge and close to 7L Substrait Pro with another 2in 30ppi sponge on top.

Poret foam great stuff,got an lfs and that's all they use to filter there tanks. Matt filter with air lift tubes.
Had too Remove about 1-1/4L of the EhfiSubstrat Pro so to fit the 30ppi Poret Blue Sponge and the Eheim Small Lattice on top so the cover would fit
