Sponges and RBP.

Do any of you use sponge filters in your piranha tanks? I have a few and I was thinking about putting them in. I wasn't sure if they would be ok in there or if they would bite chunks out of them.

What do you guys think?

I've seen some lfs has sponge filters in their piranha tanks before so it's probably ok. they sell those once that are inside a plastic housing so you don't have to worry about your piranhas eat the sponge. IMO those don't look nice in your own tank. I wouldn't do it myself unless it's a hospital tank or a holding tank for short period of time or a grow out tank for fry.

I wouldnt prefer to use a sponge filter because you need alot filteration for piranhas you can use them but they are not stong enough for them but its up to you

can use as an accessory filter,but main filter has to be a better one
