Spooked Silver Arowana

Hey Guys.. My largest Silver Arowana (16") is getting pretty spooked off late.. and it is usually in the night.. the tank lights remain on in the night.. he never had a problem with me goin near the tank at night.. but he seems to just lie down the last couple of weeks from time to time in the nights. what could i do to get him back to normal.. i have a feelin his appetite has also come down cos of this..

Did you change anything with the lighting or surroundings? Ususally as silvers get bigger, they start to calm down a bit. Did you try maybe using a dimmer light in the tank?

they are jumpy at night.

lost a 2 footer in the middle of the night.

Any tankmates? Sometimes my Aro's get more skittish at night because the four bichirs and the Marbled Pim come out to play.

sorry guys.. took my time to reply.. seems better now.. i dont turn on the tank lights.. the tanks are in the lobby so i leave the lobby light on.. more relaxed now.. his tank mate is a 8 inch BGK.. and i sorta zeroed in on why he gets spooked.. my gran and the driver (callin him chauffeur would make me look like a prick).. my gran went so close to the tank he sank down and she knocked the glass and this guy also did the same.. so for now they are forbidden to sit in the lobby..
