When I got my F1 kelberi I noticed he was quite skittish and jumpy. My monos used to quite out going but ever since i put them with my kelberi they, like him, jump and splash around when I go near the tank. I also find I have to take a couple steps back during feeding otherwise they are fairly reluctant to take any prawn. Is there anything I can do to make them normal or is it a phase they are in as juvies (8")?

Just give it some time man. I have this problem everytime I move my bass from one tank to another. They just need to get acclimated and associate you with food.

Dithers like severums help. Also hiding places like plants and driftwood makes them feel safe.

Thanks, I was also thinking about feeding them with the net so they associate something with food and make them tamer, any thoughts

I would agree 100% with kendragon, dithers will do the job.
Ive never had a problem with mine being skittish as I keep other confident fish with them.
